These legs are not only a visual statement but also serve as the foundation of the table's strength and stability. The powder-coated finish provides a durable and sleek surface that resists scratches and corrosion, preserving the legs' pristine appearance over time.

The bold X-shaped design incorporates a central space to hold the white oak stretcher piece that adds a modern and geometric flair that contrasts beautifully with the natural, organic feel of the locust slab. This steel/wood framework enhances the overall design, merging industrial strength with sophisticated elegance. At the heart of this creation lies a single, thick slab of locust wood, carefully split and immortalized in deep jet-black epoxy. This composition accentuates the natural grain of the locust, creating an organic flow, beautifully preserved within the sleek contrast of black epoxy. Locust wood, is very hard, with a Janka hardness of 1,700 lbf, which is harder than red oak and as hard as golden teak. This makes it one of the hardest native North American woods with exceptional resistance to wear and abrasion.
